CORE
Built to your openings. Priced to win the job.
Thermally broken aluminum windows & doors · specified to win the bid
The collection

Your opening.
Your elevation.
The number that wins.

Core is the answer when the number decides the job — without giving up the window.

It is not a lesser window. The same thermally broken aluminum, the same all-tempered glazing, the same double-silver Low-E and the same build discipline as the rest of the line. The specification is chosen with the budget in the room, which is a very different thing from cutting corners.

What does not change is the service. Core is made to your openings exactly like every other ARI product — 5, 6 or 8 mm tempered glass in every pane, sized to the lite, a polyamide thermal break, CMECH multipoint hardware and an AAMA 2604 architectural finish, built at a partner plant with our own people on the floor.

01
Specification
Set against the budget in the room, not by deleting content. Every choice is made where it changes how the window performs, and nowhere that it does not.
02
Sizing
A standard specification, never a standard size. There is no size list to design around and no upcharge for a non-standard opening.
03
Oversight
Built to ARI’s specification and inspected to ARI’s standard, by our own people, before anything leaves the floor.

The range

What we build in Core.

Every product below is made to your openings. Maximum sizes are reference sizes — larger sizes on request, confirmed case by case. In sliding configurations X is a panel that slides and O is a panel that is fixed, read left to right viewed from the exterior.

Fixed windows
Picture units and the fixed lites in mulled assemblies. The largest single opening in the range.
Lites to 107.6 sq ft · size engineered per unit
Casement windows
Multipoint locking, adjustable hinges, retractable screens. The most efficient egress window in the collection.
Sash to 33 3/8 × 70 3/4 in
Awning windows
Top-hung, outward opening, multipoint locking. Wide formats for clerestory and over-door runs.
Sash to 33 3/8 × 70 3/4 in
Sliding windows
XO, OX, XX and XOX configurations. The clear opening is one panel wide however it is configured, which is what governs egress sizing.
Panel to 55 × 120 in
Sliding patio doors
Two-track: XO, OX, XX and OXXO. Three-track: OXX, XXO and OXXXXO.
Max 3 tracks · panel to 55 × 120 in
Swing & entry doors
In-swing and out-swing, single and double. Multipoint locking, adjustable hinges, threshold matched to the frame color.
Max 39 1/4 × 110 1/8 in
Window walls
Mulled assemblies of fixed and operable units on a shared frame. Fewer frames per square meter than separate units.
Sized to the opening · structural mullion posts
Pivot entry doors
Framed pivot on a concealed floor spindle. Double glazed, every pane tempered.
Sized to the opening · double glazed
Curtain wall
Stick-built framing for spans beyond a window wall. Core carries the lighter profile; for structural spans and wider infill, specify Select or Reserve.
Sized to the opening · lighter profile

Garage doors are a separate ARI category. Pivot doors and curtain wall are built in Core at Core’s specification; Select and Reserve carry the heavier profiles and the wider glazing options.

Custom as standard

Made to your openings.
Not to a catalog.

Send the schedule and we build to it. Every unit is made to the dimension on your drawing, whatever that dimension is.

That is unusual at this end of the market. A value line is normally a value line precisely because it is built in fixed sizes — the plant runs a short list of parts, the builder designs around them, and anything outside the list either carries a premium or does not get made at all. Core does not work that way, which is why it wins bids a catalog line cannot.

Core is finished in Matte Black, White or Dark Bronze. AkzoNobel Interpon powder coat to AAMA 2604, one color inside and out as standard. Custom colors, AAMA 2605 and dual-color frames — one color inside, a different one outside — are available at additional charge. Thresholds are finished to match the frame.

Double casements and double doors are supplied with or without a center post. The default is no post, for an unobstructed opening, unless the drawing asks for one.

Configurations above are the common ones, not a catalog. Any of them can be mulled into a larger assembly and every one is built to your dimensions. If you can draw the opening, we will quote it.

Construction

How a Core window is built.

ComponentSpecification
Frame6063-T5 aluminum, thermally broken. Core profile system.
Thermal breakPolyamide strut, isolating the interior face of the frame from the exterior.
Glass5, 6 or 8 mm double glazed, thickness set by the glass area. Every pane tempered. Double-silver Low-E, argon filled.
HardwareCMECH multipoint locking on casements and doors. Adjustable hinges on windows and doors.
ScreensRetractable screens on casement, awning and sliding windows, and on sliding doors.
FinishAkzoNobel Interpon powder coat to AAMA 2604. Matte Black, White or Dark Bronze. Custom colors, AAMA 2605 and dual-color frames at additional charge.
GlazingEvery lite tempered, in every product, not only where code requires it. Safety etch on every pane.
StructuralDesign pressure to be confirmed, by product and size.
Two sizes, always. Every quotation and every shop drawing carries the build size and the rough opening size — and for doors, the door slab size as well — so you know exactly how to prepare the framing and nothing is assumed on site.

Whole-window values on the standard Core build, confirmed by the factory. VT is visible transmittance — the share of daylight the glass lets through, where higher is brighter. Every product clears the 2021 IECC U-0.40 limit in climate zone 2 and the SHGC-0.25 limit where regulated. Zone 3 and above requires U-0.30 — specify Reserve there. The multi-slide door is the TY120 system, rated separately. Core does not carry an NFRC-certified label; specify Reserve where one is required. The entry pivot door is double glazed.

To price a Core package, send three things. The window and door schedule or a takeoff with opening sizes; the elevations or a plan set, so mulled runs are priced as assemblies rather than separate units; and the finish, interior and exterior. Anything missing we will ask about rather than assume.

Warranty

What Core is covered for.

CoverageCore
Frame & welds10 years
Insulating glass seal10 years
Finish — AAMA 2604 powder coat10 years
Hardware mechanism & screens3 years

Coastal salt corrosion is not covered on Core — specify Select or Reserve for coastal work. The hardware term covers locks, handles, hinges, rollers, operators and screen mechanisms. Full terms, exclusions and the claim procedure are set out in the ARI Materials Limited Warranty, supplied with every order and available on request.

Care and maintenance

A thermally broken aluminum window asks very little, but it does ask for something. These six keep the finish, the hardware and the seals inside their warranty terms.

Wash the finish
Mild detergent and clean water, two to four times a year. No abrasive pads, no solvents and no pressure washer. Within a few miles of the coast, rinse quarterly — Core’s finish does not carry coastal salt coverage.
Keep the weep holes clear
The sill carries drainage slots that let water back out of the frame. Blocked weeps hold water against the seal, and are a common source of leaks later reported as a product fault.
Clean and lubricate the hardware
Vacuum grit out of tracks and sills. Once a year, lubricate rollers, hinges and locking points with a dry PTFE or silicone spray — not oil, which holds dirt against the mechanism.
Check the seals and the glass
Inspect gaskets annually and replace any that are torn or compressed. Clean the glass with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth.
Condensation is not a failed seal
Water on the room side of the glass is indoor humidity meeting cold glass, and it is a ventilation question, not a product fault. A failed insulating glass seal shows as haze or moisture between the panes — that is covered.
Do not paint or seal the frame
The powder coat is the finish. Painting over it, or running sealant across the face of the frame, voids finish coverage. The perimeter joint between frame and wall belongs to the installation and should be inspected yearly.
Never use a razor blade, a scraper or any metal tool on the glass. It will scratch the coated surface, and a scratch cannot be polished out — the glass has to be replaced. Scratched glass is not a warranty claim. For paint spots or construction debris, soak the area with warm soapy water and lift it with a plastic scraper or a soft cloth.
Full care instructions are supplied with every order. Keeping to them is what keeps the coverage above in force — neglect, impact damage and site-applied coatings are the common exclusions.
07
The Process

From quote to container.

An ARI order runs on four steps. What differs from buying locally is not the paperwork — it is how much of the job you can see, from the day the extrusion starts to the photographs of your own crates taken before the container doors close.

01
Quote
Send a schedule, a takeoff or a set of plans. Opening and build sizes are stated on every line.
02
Confirm
Deposit paid, then shop drawings for every opening, approved and signed by you. Production is booked once both are in hand.
03
Track
ClearView shows production stage, container and arrival date, from confirmation through delivery.
04
Load
Final inspection and balance due, then labeling, crating and container loading — photographed in ClearView, so you see your own product packed before the container closes.
ClearView

The tracking system behind steps three and four. Every order gets its own view: where the frames and the glass are, what stage each is at, which container they are loaded into and when it lands.
